Founded in 2007, Educate Girls (www.educategirls.ngo) is a non-governmental organization that holistically tackles issues at the root of gender inequality in India’s educational system. With a focus on enrollment, retention and learning, Educate Girls aims to provide quality education for all under-served and marginalized girls by mobilizing and leveraging public, private, and community resources to improve access to education and school quality. By leveraging the government’s existing investment in schools, Educate Girls delivers measurable results to a large number of beneficiaries and avoids duplication or parallel delivery of services. With operations in 13 gender-gap districts in Rajasthan, Educate Girls currently implements its programs in over 12,000 schools in over 8,000 villages. In the last nine years, Educate Girls has enrolled over 140,000 girls and over 600,000 children have demonstrated improved learning outcomes.
