The merging of two successful apps for spreader adjustment:
Fertiliser Service app
The AMAZONE Fertiliser Service app made its debut with the advent of the smartphone. This app could already be used in 2011 to check the setting values of the AMAZONE spreader for various fertilisers directly on-site and on the implement.
At Agritechnica 2015, AMAZONE presented the award-winning digital mobile test rig, EasyCheck. With this test rig, rubber mats are placed at defined distances on the field, and fertiliser is spread on them. Pictures are then taken of the mats with fertiliser, and an app calculates the degree of coverage on the mats. Based on these values, the app can suggest setting improvements to the user for the lateral distribution of the AMAZONE spreader.
The new AMAZONE mySpreader app combines the advantages of the two apps to take advantage of synergies. This makes it possible to easily find and select fertilisers for the spreader settings. The same app is used for testing with EasyCheck. In this way, the data are directly assigned to the utilised fertiliser for optimisation. This saves time and prevents input errors. Moreover, each customer can now build up their own personal fertiliser database, in which they can call up fertiliser properties, spreading results, and spreader settings at any time. As usual, the mySpreader app can also be used to make direct contact with the AMAZONE Fertiliser Service. If necessary, the setting values and spreading results can be completely transmitted to the specialists, so that they can offer the best possible recommendations for each situation.
Furthermore, the app includes a menu to perform rate calibration on fertiliser spreaders without weighing technology. The user is guided through the manual calibration step by step. Annoying tables and reading errors when using slide rules are no longer a problem. Moreover, the app can be used to filter the fertiliser database to find the right fertiliser. By doing so, starting values can be found more rapidly when the user is still unfamiliar with the fertiliser.
The mySpreader app is completed with a tool that gives setting recommendations for mixed fertilisers. This function is called EasyMix. Accurate placement of mixed fertiliser becomes increasingly difficult with larger working widths. It is often virtually impossible to find the right setting for all components. With EasyMix, AMAZONE now offers a tool to determine the best possible compromise for different mixtures. In doing so, the user selects the components that they want to spread from a selection menu. Then the selected fertilisers are combined into a mixture. The app then shows how good or bad the individual components fit together and whether there is a compromise for the setting of the spreading materials. If this is not the case, the user can replace individual mixture components with something else. When the right fertiliser partners are found for a mixture, the app suggests the right settings for the spreader.
The mySpreader app can be used in conjunction with AMAZONE fertiliser spreaders and is available for Apple devices with Android 7 or later.
The following app function will initially only be available in Germany:
Automatic setting of the spreader with the app. At the same time, AMAZONE is introducing a Bluetooth adapter for ISOBUS implements. This interface can be used to transmit all of the setting values for the spreader from the mySpreader app to the AMAZONE spreader. After this data transfer, the spreader configures itself automatically. This saves time, prevents setting errors, and, at the same time, is much more convenient. The Bluetooth connection is used both for the basic setting of the values from the digital setting chart and for the transmission of correction values by EasyCheck.
